Yesterday the Boys varsity hockey team finished off their regular season schedule with a game against Banting Memorial high school. If you were not there to see this game, you missed a good one, especially if you like goal scoring.
The first period of the game saw Banting pull ahead with a single goal. However, our Wildcats battled back in the second period to score 2 goals one each from Lars and Jackson to take the lead.
The third period turned into a back and forth affair with Banting and Eastview trading goals through the duration of the period. Goals came from Shea, Cole and finally the winner from Lars with his second of the game which turned out to be the game winner. Jake, again turned in an all-star performance in the net.
It was a nail biter, but Eastview held on to finish the season with a perfect record of 8 straight wins to finish first place in the league. Next stop, the playoffs.
