Baseball reminder to Zander, Aidan and Cyrus to return their baseball jerseys to room 160.

Congratulations goes out to all concert choir and tech team members for a fantastic Spring Gala performance yesterday evening. Mr. Stewart is proud of your efforts and accomplishments. A big thanks to our student and teacher volunteers, and to the Eastview office and custodial staff for their support.

 

Do you have crocs or socks, Or maybe both?? Wear them on Tuesday June 6 and start off Eastview's Theme Week showing off your wild crocs or socks.

There is a live information presentation for the 31st Brigade PAID Military Co-op May 31st at 7:00pm. Links will be sent to you to join in.

Please stop by the Co-op office, room 160B, for information and have the link emailed to you.

 Placements are for semester 2, but the application process begins now.

Anyone who has Co-op on their timetable for next year and is wanting to apply for Co-op opportunities at RVH please come to the Co-op office room 160B during your day to pick up an information package.

Spring Fling Ticket Pick-up is today at the beginning of lunch-this is your last chance.

Next Friday is Eastview's first ever Pride Day!  Eastview Pride Day is a spirit day on Friday, June 2nd. Dress up in rainbow colours and participate in some pride-themed activities at lunch. Start planning your rainbow outfits and remember Eastview's Got Pride!

This is a reminder to all Food & Culture students to meet their teachers in the cafeteria at 11:25 today. That's all Food & Culture students meeting in the cafe today at 11:25 am to set up for Diversity Day. Set an alarm in your phones.

Today, Eastview's Girl's Softball team is headed to Alliston to play in a double-header against Nottawasaga Pines and Banting. These are their last regular-season games. Girl's, leave class at 12:45 to meet in the front foyer. Good luck, Cats!

On Tuesday the Junior Tennis team took on a variety of schools in SCAA competition and had a very successful day with a number of players qualifying for GBs next week.

Some highlights on the day included:

•    Excellencia winning first place in Girls Singles
•    Ryne taking third place in Boys Singles
•    Katie and Emerson winning first place in Girls Doubles
•    Emme and Emma taking second place in Girls Doubles
•    Logan and Jack earning second place in Boys Doubles
•    Rowan and Jaxson taking third place in Boys Doubles

Thank you to the entire team for a great day of tennis, and best of luck next week in Collingwood.  Practice tonight at 2:45.

Yesterday afternoon in Rugby, the Junior Boys Rugby team took care of Innisdale with a score of 25 - 12. Excellent play by the boys on the field! We go to CCI semi-finals on Monday.

The Senior Boys finished the season against North. It was a tough game by a dedicated group of players. Congratulations on your season boys!

Today’s the day Wildcats! We’re excited for the Celebration of Diversity Day buy-in today. Please report to your third period class for attendance and to get your ticket. If you have a spare or co-op, please go to the cafe.

Spring Fling Ticket Pick-up is today at the beginning of lunch in the foyer. That’s the beginning of lunch, in the foyer for dance tickets.

Good Morning Blood Donor Super Heros! There are still 4 donation spots left! Sign up today through the QR codes around the school then come get the field trip paperwork from Mrs. Bolen in Rm 106.  If you are already signed up, Please Bring your Field Trip consent forms to Mrs. Bolen sometime today, RM 106. Party bus leaves at 11 am tomorrow!

Hey Wildcats! Are you ready to see some of our very talented Eastview dancers take the stage? Come join us May 31st at 7pm for the Dance Recital. Tickets are on sale on School cash online and will also be available at the door. Can't wait to see you there. Also, if you were in Ms. Nesbitt's grade 10 and 11 dance class last semester and want to volunteer at the recital, please let her know as soon as possible if you are available.

Dance team, we have a hip hop and jazz practice at lunch, see you there.

Attention Varsity Lacrosse players! You are excused today at 2 p.m. for your game against St. Joe's at Georgian Turf field.  Go show them how hungry you are for the GB title!!!!

Your varsity baseball teams season came to end yesterday with a 4 to 1 loss to Stayner.  The coaching staff would like to thank  all the players for a rewarding and  positive season, we look forward to next season. The coaching staff would like to congratulate our two graduating players Ryan and Nathan. Thank you for your gentlemen service and good luck in your future endeavors.  A reminder to Cyrus, Zander, and Aidan to return their jerseys to Mr. Broley’s desk in room 160 ASAP.  See you next year!

A reminder to choir members that we have a rehearsal during period 3 today in the cafeteria.

Tickets, tickets, tickets, it is time to pick up your Spring Fling Tickets. Pick up will be today and tomorrow at the beginning of lunch only. That means during the first 30 minutes of lunch tickets will be available for pick up for those who purchased online. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets can’t wait to see you on the dance floor this FRIYAY!!  

Our Junior Girls Soccer team played a well-fought playoff game against a crafty OSS team last night in Orillia. Great passing and quick drives were not enough to hold off the Orillia squad, who went on to win 4-1. Our break-away goal was scored by Zoe with Reese assisting. Cheers to a great season girls! Your coaches are very proud of you!  Please return washed jerseys to the PE office this week.

Blood Drive: Good Morning, grade 12 and 18+ students! Eastview is still looking for more students to donate blood this Friday, May 26. If you are interested in being a superhero and saving a few lives, come see Mrs. Bolen in Rm 106 or visit the Canadian Blood Services Table in the Foyer at Lunch.

 

Boys Rugy:  Seniors are excused at 1:30 to board the bus and Juniors at 1:45 to get ready.

 

Prom: At lunch today, not before, please go to the library to pick up your prom tickets. If you are bringing a guest who is not an Eastview student, you must have a completed guest form with you to get your ticket.

Blood Drive: DID YOU KNOW… Half of all Canadians will either need blood or know someone who will need blood at some point in their lives. Yet only four percent of Canadians donate. If you are in grade 12 or 18 year of age and would like to help save a life, come to a brief meeting in Rm 106 to sign up and join the Eastview Team to donate this Friday May 26th.
