Good morning... the library is closed today as the spring session of the OSSLT continues. Please respect the messages posted on the white board outside the library. Thank you for your cooperation.

Yesterday your Wildcat Boys Varsity Hockey hosted the GBSSA Championship Final at the Eastview Arena, taking on our Catholic rival St. Joan of Arc.  This was actually a rematch of last year's GB's Final which Eastview won.

The start of the first period saw each team pushing hard for the first goal.  However, it was Eastview that opened the scoring with a goal from Kam.  JOA came back to tie it but Eastview scored again before the end of the period with a tally from Ethan.

Eastview turned up the heat on JOA in the second period with three goals within a span of 5 minutes with one each from Ethan, Noah  and Cole.  The second period ended with Eastview up by a score of 5 - 2.

In the third period, Eastview began to shut down the JOA scoring opportunities and to solidify the victory.  JOA scored another goal late in the game but it was too little, too late.  Final score Eastview 5, JOA 3

This victory capped off a season in which the team finished with a perfect record of 15 - 0 including this year's K-Cup, SCAA and GBSSA Championship titles.

Players, please attend a mandatory meeting in Rm. 217 today at the start of lunch to go over planning for our trip to the OFSSA tournament in Windsor.

The students who are volunteering for the volleyball tournament today are asked to meet Ms. Hargreaves between the two gyms right after these announcements.

Ultimate Frisbee is starting tomorrow in the front gym at 2:30. We are looking for Frisbee players from all four grades and both girls and boys as this is a coed team.  Details and signup are posted outside the Science office…room 210.  There are also tryouts on the Monday and Thursday of the week right after March Break.
