We invite parents/guardians to participate in any of the following opportunities for learning focused on helping you support your teen.
a) An Introduction to Mindfulness
Amber McAuley of Mindfulness Without Borders will introduce parents to mindfulness and describe its purpose and benefits. She will talk about and describe the Mindfulness Without Borders program starting at Eastview and how parents can support their children with starting to practice mindfulness.
This session runs two times on the morning of April 13, in conjunction with our Wellness Conference for students. You may plan to attend 8:15 - 9:15 a.m. or 9:30 -10:30 a.m., both in the Eastview Library.
b) Author, Speaker and Music Maker Blake Fly
Also taking place during Eastview's Wellness Week is an opportunity to hear Blake Fly present about 'Engaging Students and Understanding Their World'. https://topyouthspeakers.com/speakers-topics/blake-fly
This session takes place on Thursday, April 12 at 7pm in the Eastview Café.
c) Sue Hutton Presents Mindfulness for Real Life
This interactive group session that we are running during Children's Mental Health Week will provide participants with easy to use Mindfulness tools for everyday life.
