All donations to this donation drive will go directly to the Woman and Childrens shelter, and the Busby Center in Barrie. Donation bins will be open for donations next week on Monday, and soon there will be another message including some examples of donations that have been requested from these shelters and would be incredibly helpful.  “The Day of Pink was started in Nova Scotia when two high school students saw a student being bullied for wearing a pink shirt. They decided to purchase 50 pink shirts and informed their friends of their plan to show support for the student. Their school became a sea of pink shirts to show their support for their peer. The International Day of Pink takes a stand against all bullying, including  homophobia and transphobia. Wearing a pink shirt on April 13th is an important first step – it shows that you stand together with those who have been bullied. Show your support for your fellow Wildcats by wearing a pink shirt on Wednesday the 13th.”

The coaches are so proud of how well this team played throughout the entire season, and are excited to watch these players continue to develop throughout the rest of high school.
Also, the team would like to send out a special thank you to graduating student Ryan Vriezema who gave up so much time over the last 5 months to coach this team.  A lot of our success this year is owed to his unwavering support of our girls.  Thank you so much!

Yesterday our Sr. Boys Basketball team travelled to Bradford to play in an exciting SCAA Semi-Final playoff match. It was a fast paced, back and forth game. With a packed gym of fans, our wildcats continued to press & hustle. Our bench clapping & cheering right back! With Bradford ending the first half 34-23, we knew an explosive scoring run was needed in the second half & our boys delivered - working the high/low and out scoring Bradford 14-8 in the 3rd. With 4 mins left in the 4th, game tied at 45-45, the win could have went either way. Unfortunately a few turnovers and fouls that brought BDHS to the line, sealed our season fate, with Bradford taking the game 57-50. Thanks for an amazing record-long season boys - you displayed so much heart, hard-work, resilience & determination throughout. You represented Eastview well & have made your coaches very proud!
Attention Boys Hockey Players: Our playoff game against Banting has been rescheduled for next Wednesday April 6 at 2:30pm.  Please let the coaches know if you're unable to attend the game.
