TRY LIKE TERRY!!!
Next Tuesday September 28th, during period 3, is our Terry Fox event. Terry Fox once said, “anything is possible if you try”, so that’s why this year we are going to do the ‘Try Like Terry Challenge’ to honour his legacy. We want to fundraise this year to accomplish Terry’s goal of ultimately ending cancer! You can donate cash directly through your teacher, and online via our Eastview website or Instagram account to access the direct link: www.terryfox.ca/eastview

Student Government: Mrs. Mota will be hosting a meeting TODAY AT LUNCH in room 255 for anyone interested in joining Student Government. Teachers interested in teaming up with Mrs. Mota, please extend a helping hand via email or join us at lunch.

There will be Junior AND Senior football practices today. Please be dressed and ready to go for 2:45 but please stay off the main field! we will meet at the bleachers and go from there.

Any students interested in applying to the Military Co-op for second semester applications are now open! Information is available in the Co-op office room 160B.  Virtual Information Sessions are also being held starting on Monday September 27th.  Be aware applications are extensive and must be submitted by October 31st.

Attention all boys interested in playing hockey this year.  Please sign up on a sheet outside the Geography office Rm. 215.

Hey Eastview, come join the Inquisitor's Club! This club gives students a safe, inclusive, and judgement-free space to talk about whatever they want. Students create presentations on anything from climate change to their favourite anime, and everything in between. There is no pressure to present; just come out and learn something new. We meet on Mondays at 2:40 in room 181 and we are looking for new members. For more information find Ms. Chittick or Ms. MacMillan in room 154.

Junior boys' soccer players who missed yesterday's meeting must see Mr. Northrop today at 11:15am outside room 133 by the front doors of the school.  There are forms that you need to pick up and/or hand in and they must be completed in order to play in tomorrow's game.

After school on Wednesday, your Eastview Wildcats Jr and Sr girls basketball teams competed in an actual game for the first time since the fall of 2019.  The highlight of the night was just to be back in the gym and playing.  There was lots of great energy in the gym as both the junior girls and senior girls defeated Collingwood Fighting Owls! Great start to the season and we’ll see you in the gym after school today.  

The SENIOR FOOTBALL GAME scheduled for today has been CANCELLED due to field conditions. There will be no football practices for Juniors or Seniors tonight to give the field a chance to recover...depending on conditions, we MAY practice tomorrow, so please be prepared! This is a good opportunity to clear up football paperwork and get your homework completed!

This announcement is for all Senior Tennis Team players. There is a very important meeting today. That is Thursday September 23. Please meet Ms. Rallis and Ms. Sooley in Room 255 at the start of lunch. This is a mandatory meeting related to next weeks tournament.

There will be an information session on scholarships at the beginning of lunch next Wednesday the 29th and the following week on Tuesday, October 5th. The location will be announced next week during morning announcements. The information session will be approximately 30 minutes long and everyone is welcome. Please plan to attend if you are interested.

TRY LIKE TERRY!!!
Next Tuesday September 28th, during period 3, is our Terry Fox event. Classes who’ve signed up to participate will be walking around our track during their scheduled time. There’s going to be a Terry Fox race happening simultaneously in the middle of the track, this is your chance to TRY LIKE TERRY! Classes participating will cheer on their sponsored class runner. Cheer loud and cheer proud for your class’s sponsored runner because a class prize will be given out to the class with the fastest runner or the loudest and proudest cheer!!!

Attention all students!  The games club is starting again!  You want to make new friends and meet interesting people?  Then join the games club.  We play board games, card games, D & D and it's just a fun place to hang out after school!  We meet TODAY!  Location is room 163 at 2:30 Wednesday.  See you there!

The music department is planning to put together a small, non-competitive choir this year that will be open to anybody in the school. This will be in addition to the competitive group that has already been selected from this year’s vocal classes. Anyone interested is invited to a meeting at the beginning of lunch on Thursday this week in room 202, which is the orchestra room. Space in this group will be limited, so please let Mr. Stewart know if you’re interested and cannot attend the meeting.

Jr and Sr girls basketball players.  Please come to room 239 right after school today for a game.  We will practice right after the meeting. See you there!


Attention all girls flag football players!  Today's game is postponed due to the weather!
HOWEVER:  COULD ALL GIRLS PLAYING FLAG FOOTBALL INTRAMURAL AND TRAVEL TEAMS MEET IN THE FRONT GYM TODAY AT LUNCH FOR A QUICK MEETING!

Attention all cross country runners: Practice is cancelled for today due to inclement weather.  See you tomorrow in our regular place.  Those who are still missing forms can find me in RM 246 between 11:20 and 1140.  Again, no running practice today.

There will be a Sr Football meeting in the phys-ed portable (portable 1) today at 3:30.

The Eat Well to Excel program is back.  Come find a nutritional snack in the library.
