Eastview’s Wellness Team wants to let you know that practicing gratitude can be really helpful with our mental wellness. What does that mean? Well Gratitude is a warm feeling of thankfulness toward another person or even the world. We can bring about that feeling by paying extra attention to the reasons we have to be grateful. All of us, no matter what we’re going through, can practice gratitude, and find things to be grateful for.
Practice today by expressing your gratitude to someone, this can be as simple as a thank you, or more involved like a note written to express your thanks. Try to spend time each day thinking of two things you are grateful for. Small things like a door held open, or big things, like a warm school building on a cold day can bring about a feeling of gratitude.
This holiday season is the perfect time of year to start practicing gratitude. The more you practice, the better you’ll feel. The wellness team is grateful for you.
