Christmas Cheer season is here! Starting on Monday, Dec 2nd, please bring your items to your homeroom class and place them in your decorated boxes. You will have until Dec 13 to donate items! Please bring in non-perishable food items, toiletries and unwrapped toys specifically for infants and children between 8 and 10 years old. The students of the winning class will each receive one free combo at pizza plus and subs. Good luck Wildcats!

One week today, December 13th, Eastview is holding the annual winter formal! Tickets are only being sold until today at the wildcat lounge, if you are planning on bringing friends from another school come to the wildcat lounge and grab a form. The price per person is $20 for a ticket! Come ready for a night to
remember! Refreshments will be provided!  Today is the final day to purchase tickets.

Hey wildcats! Are you not going to kcup? Well we have something for you! On Wednesday December 11th we will be holding a holiday movie during periods 4 and 5 and guess what, in order to get in you can just donate any amount you like 1 dollar, 2 dollars, 3 dollars or more! The movie that we will be watching is the Elf ! We will also be having various stations with different fun activities!

Girls Rugby! Girls Rugby! Girls Rugby!  28 hellcats showed up to our first Varsity Girls Rugby practice on Tuesday night and did an amazing job.  We hope to see more of you out next Tuesday from 3 to 4:30.  Remember, if you are playing a winter sport you can still sign up for Varsity Girls Rugby.  We are just starting super early for our Spring season to be even that much more awesome.  We still want you to join our team.  If you want to play FAST, play PHYSICAL, play SKILLED and play AGGRESSIVE then join our team.  Talk to Mr. Dominic if you have any questions or concerns.

Hey wildcats, Eastview's annual gingerbread house decorating contest is being held next Friday. Your team forms are due Tuesday. We will be collecting money and forms during period 3&4 on today, Friday and Monday. The three categories you will be judged on is most festive, most creative and most edible. Remember to bring your own decorations. Let’s get festive!

‘Tis the season for a winter coffeehouse! Auditions will be held on Monday and Tuesday during lunch periods for our next coffeehouse, taking place on Thursday, December 12 at 7:00pm. Those interested in performing should sign up on the vocal room door.

The Knitting Club will continue to meet on the next two Mondays!  Looking forward to seeing new knitters there.  2:45pm in Room 154.

There will be an unscheduled dryland training session today after school for the alpine and nordic ski teams - for whoever can make it. All Alpine ski team members who cannot attend should try to touch base with Mr. Darlington sometime today.

We are Rafiki! Rafiki bracelets are beaded bracelets made by women in Kenya. They are being sold in front of the caf for only $10 during lunch periods - TODAY IS THE LAST DAY. Half of all the proceeds go back to helping people in developing countries.
They make the perfect gift for friends and family. Give good and change lives this holiday season!

Attention Students, Are you interested in earning both a College credit and a high school credit next Semester? Are you interested in a Georgian College Baking, Marketing or Pre-Health course? If so, see your Guidance Counsellor for more information! Don’t delay - applications are now being accepted.

Video games club is running after school today from 2:40 - 4:30.  Be sure to come by room 219 to de-stress and have some fun before the weekend!  See you there!

Wildcats, don't forget to order Spiritwear!  The deadline in order to receive items for Christmas is Friday December 6. Check out the online store to customize your order by going to Eastview's homepage and clicking on the Spiritwear link or checking your school email or you can use Snapchat to scan the QR code on the posters in the hall.  Hoodies, crew necks, long sleeves and even toques are available in a variety of colours and sizes.

Do you need volunteer hours? Do you love Christmas? We are looking for volunteers for Monday, December 9th for the Eastview's annual Kids Christmas Party. You will be needed from 2:45 to 7:15. We need people for craft tables, to hand out food and more! If you are interested there is a sign up sheet on the bulletin board across from the elevator downstairs or speak to Ms. Cain or Ms. Phillips

Hey everyone, looking for a classy night to enjoy with you friends? Come to the Eastview winter formal on December 13! Tickets are only being sold until Friday at the wildcat lounge, if you are planning on bringing friends from another school come to the wildcat lounge and grab a form. Tickets are $20! Come in
your formal attire ready for a night to remember!  Refreshments are included in the ticket price. You may also purchase a ticket online but must show your student card and pick up your ticket during your lunch this week.

This is a very important announcement for any students who purchased semi or kcup tickets through cash online, you must come to the wildcat lounge either today or tomorrow during your lunch to show your student card  and pick up your ticket.  Students attending Kcup must return completed permission forms. As well any student who has purchased and received a kcup ticket may bring their ticket down to the desk outside the main office to get your tshirt today or tomorrow during period 1.  That is any students with kcup tickets may come down today or tomorrow period 1 to pick up your tshirt outside the main office.

Attention any girls who expressed interest in playing in the girls volleyball tournament scheduled for Friday December 6.  The tournament has been postponed until the new year.  It is not to late to sign up with a team or an individual.  Speak to Ms.  Cain for more information.  The new tournament date will be announced shortly.

The curling teams will not practice or have a game this Wednesday.  It is rescheduled for the new year.

Congratulations goes out to all members of the Senior Boys Basketball team who competed in a 16-team tournament in Collingwood this past weekend. The boys won all four of their games against teams from St. Catherines, Dufferin County, Huntsville and Tottenham to become tournament champions for the first time in the 33 years the tournament has run! Special shoutouts to Adriano and James who took home MVP plaques. Memorable moments of the weekend include the boys 3-point shooting, shared playing time, a very enthusiastic, supportive bench, team-building bowling to highlight Brady’s ball skills, Wes’s dunk that lit up the gym with cheers, Jacob’s steals, the ‘twinergy’ Nightingale boys on the floor crashing the boards, Nathen getting his grove back, Cal’s shooting and Daniel’s offensive rebounding. Next game action is today at 4:30 in the front gym versus Collingwood. Come cheer on your Wildcats!

Girls’ hockey team is dismissed today at 1:30 for their game.
Girls are reminded to go to fifth period to get their homework.

Auditions for the NTS festival play “Best When Bottled” are TODAY after school in the Drama Room (room 150). There is more information on the Drama room door).

The dryland training session planned for tomorrow after school for the alpine ski teamhas been cancelled. Forms should be in today for those wishing to participate in the on-hill training this week
