Sr Boys Rugby Update!
Congratulations to the Sr Boys Rugby team as they opened the season at the MacMaster Invitational Tournament in Hamilton with some thrilling offensive plays and smash-mouth defense.
The boys started strong with a 10-0 win, then rallied from behind and tied their second match 10-10 and falling short in their 3rd match losing 10-5.
It was a full team effort, but honorable mention to the Lewey, Bradley Connolly, Matthew Connolly, G- Burke, Fish, Vanbo, Zach Smith, Sills, Hastings, Matt Laurin, Tucker, Shipley, T-Raikes and Owen Davey for the personal sacrifices that many would never understand and the consistently great play!
Great start--lots of work still to do...
This is going to prove to be a very exciting season for these young men--so be sure to take in some action when the season begins in 2 weeks!!!  GO CATS GO!

Have you ever seen a friend hurt because of discrimination? Have you been hurt yourself?

Three members of our Eastview Boys curling team, Dylan Niepage, Cameron Vanbodegom, and Trey Cowell, represented Team Ontario at the U18 Men's National Curling Championship in Alberta last week.
After a couple of losses early in pool play, the boys rallied, finishing 3rd in their pool with a 4-2 record and earning a spot in the playoffs.   Then they won again.... and again... and again....  until yesterday after noon, when, after being in control the whole game, they masterfully trumped Team BC and walked their way right into the position of Gold Medal Champions!
Congratulations Dylan, Cam and Trey, on your incredible final season of curling: Simcoe County Champs, GBSSA champs, OFSAA Gold Medalists and now National Champions.  You will be missed next year!
